I went to Ford Dealership and checked on price for rear trunk emblem replacement and was told it costs $250.00 but they are no longer made nor could I order one. December 2009

I'm assuming that the car already has an emblem, so why add another? I don't get it, unless you want people to know your an enthusiast. And I'm not sure I'd want to be known as a BMW enthusiast.

If you never use the key to open the trunk the cheapest and most practical solution would be just glue it back on with super strength glue
I used Locktite super strength glue to stick on the name badge that came off the trunk of my Peugout last year and it has not come off even after loads of washes
Good luck
by the by I am british so what you call the trunk we call it the boot ok!

It is a little tricky and done incorrectly you may damage the paint around the bezel. If you are not in the fair to good mechanic class or better I would recommend that you take your car to a body shop - they are the, professionals in this area. They also have direct access to the parts sources for these type of items.

I will not guess on price but you can get one from your friendly local Ford/Lincoln dealer.

I certainly would not glue it on - the moment you do that Murphy will appear in your trunk and short out the remote release solenoid!
